2019 is the year that I’ve received my trunk to be more prepared for college. After receiving this aid, I’ve attended Virginia Commonwealth University to earn a bachelor degree in Mass Communications. I’ve successfully completed my freshmen year and am looking forward to sophomore year this fall. My favorite items from my trunk were the school supplies. Every single item in the trunk was very useful but the fact that I didn’t have to buy not even one pencil was amazing and the best part is that I’ve a lot left.
The relationship between Ms. Hines and I, was more than a student-teacher relationship. She was like a mother to me. I remember her always being there for me when I need her and she still does. Ever since I went to college, almost every week, she reaches out to me to see how I am doing and I know for a fact that I’m not the only one. She cares so much about her students like we were her own children. She is one of the first people I reach out to whenever I feel like I’m in trouble. I felt so special when selected to receive one of those trunks.
The best piece of advice that Ms. Hines has given me over the past years is to “Believe In Myself No Matter What”. Ms. Hines helped me gain confidence in myself. She has contributed to many of my achievements in high school and I can’t thank her enough. My love for her is unconditional.
